What is with people wearing riding jackets when not riding

Here in Mass its obviously winter. Now I have seen this a hand full of times already and I find it very odd. What is with people wearing riding jackets out when they are obviously not riding. I just saw it again last night the guy was wearing a a black "Shift" track leather jacket protective armor and all. What a poser tool bag. I dont think these jackets are stylish at all unless you have a rocket as an accessory out in the parking lot.

Because unlike you some people wear their gear enough so its comfortable to them to wear anytime. I wear my black one when I'm not riding, tho I do take the armor out

I used to work at a local gaybar and the manger of the place whom was a pretty gay himself was buying a leather jacket. When the salesman asked him if he rode a motorcyle scott concerned with being a poser went and bought himself a ducati monster the next day. He never wore the jacket or rode the bike.....

Note to self...don't EVER wear riding jacket when not out on my bike.

I'm starting to this in Cali. Guy came into work one night wearing an Icon merc jacket. when I asked him what he was riding he looked confused and said he was driving a mustang. Now I know a stock mustang corners pretty good but I don't think he had to worry about dragging a knee.

I've seen it a little bit lately. More harley looking jackets than anything but I've thought about asking people if they ride or not.

Anyone watch Rob and Big? There was an episode wear Rob was cleaning out his closet and found his old, but still new, Alpinestars jacket with the tags still on. He said he bought it because he thought it was going to be the new trend at the clubs. I think he ending up THROWING OUT the brand new jacket!

Whats funny is the guy I saw last night that was wearing the "Shift" jacket was walking to his 03 Mustang Cobra.

Maybe its a Ford Mustang thing... what a confused group of individuals

Well I've owned Mustangs and I like them....BUT cornering definitely wasn't their strong suit.

I think I have the best one for you guys. I ate dinner one time at the Food Court (Lake Forest Mall in Gaithersburg) and I saw this guy wearing the Suzuki Yoshimura leather jacket. Really nice looking jacket with all those patches. I even approached the guy and ask him what bike he rides. The guy told me he doesn't even own a bike and added that he wears it to pick up girls. That was kinda strange for me to see him wearing that because it was pouring down rain that night and I was like.... where's his helmet? I knew he didn't leave it outside. I just walked away after he answered my question.
