A* textile gloves problem

I bought these:

Got em at a local dealer last year(9/`8/07 to be exact), paid $62+tax for em. They have about 5xxx miles on them and holes are starting to wear through the tips of the gloves.

Is this normal? I find it somewhat unacceptable, I purchased A* because everyone said the quality is spectacular, yet in just over a year I'm already having problems? Is this the norm for this style (textile, summer riding) gloves?

What have you guys used with success?

I have a pair of Joe Rocket textiles that did the same ......where the leather & mesh meet on the finger tips, there are holes now.
