K & N Filters...

Alright guys and girls...if you read my story in GM's "Damn Rain" thread you know I got absolutely soaked yesterday in a 45 minute down pour. As such, so did my exposed K&N's.

Should I re-oil them after they dry or is it not required? I probly will anyway but I'm just wonder your ?

Thanks again...

It's been my experience that oil and water don't mix.
As the matter of fact in the war between oil and water,Water always wins.
You have lost some of your protection and If it were me I would re-apply

Hey but at least you can....Gotta love those K&N filters

Still in the pond

If you felt the bike sputter and or just run poorly in the rain. You defiantly need to freshene them up. All that dirt that gets on the bike while ridding in the rain get to the pods too. Especially the outer ones.

Yeah oil and water def. don't mix. There's no doubt in that matter. I have the kit I swiped from my brother...so it's just a matter of doing it. Which I guess I'll do tomorrow.

I prefer the spray bottle. It applies much more evenly than the pour on. Plus you don't get the drips whish restricts air.

I've got the spray bottle kit. Works pretty well. I dont think I put enough on last time though. They didn't stay red very long.

K&N's have been cleaned and re-installed. Bike ran like crap for the first few miles of the shake down ride...but eventually cleaned out and is back in top working order.
