h.i.d kit on my bike and battery question

i have a01 yzf 600r. the previous owner put a hid kit on the bike. he put the box inbetween the header and the radiator. the light turns on when the bike is cool. but when you ride it and it gets hot. the light wont come on. where else can i put the box and how to secure it?

the battery. i think my battery is getting low. can you charge it. or should i just get a new one? if i do charge it, for how long and how much is a new one?

thanks for any replies

Moved your thread to the tech section...

The HID box... just move it back away from the motor... try under the seat if possible. Otherwise probably anywhere you can get a couple of zip ties on it!!

The battery.... you need to measure the volts coming from it with the bike off and with it running. You can get a battery from some auto stores. But I suggest your local powersports dealer. It doesn't have to be a yam dealer for your yam or a kaw dealer for your kaw. You can go to any of them.
