02 F4i doesnt start

Heres the story: My battery went dead over the winter b/c I have an alarm on my bike. I charged it, rode the damn thing all the way till July 4th weekend. Left it inthe garage for 9 days. Obviously, the battery died again. I charged it, but I did it at 6Amps. The bike turned on, everything was fine. I just unplugged the charger, started it, and didnt ride it.
Came back next day, bike cranks, but doesnt start.

I thought it was the bank angle sensor, BUT, i unscrewed the front fairing, twisted it upside down while the sensor was plugged in, and the fuel pump wasnt starting. Once i turned the sensor in its right position, everything was fine with the pump sound.

The bike cranks, but the enginge doesnt start. I have no idea what to do, my next thought is the ECM/ECU or whatever you call it. BUT, how could it break down?

Any suggestions?

Maybe a voltage regulator?

voltage regulator? if that would be the case, the electronics would malfunctions. they dont. everything is fine. the battery measures near 12 and responds properly to turning on headlights and/or turn signals. hence, odds of it being the V-Reg are small

is the kickstand down? that may be the obvious cause. one of the safety switches might be activated, letting the bike crank, but not start.

It might be as simple as a bad battery.

Honda batteries a a piece of crap! Your best bet is to go ahead and spend the money on a new one so that you don't get stuck anywhere with a dead bike.....

well.. the kickstand is out b/c 1) i tried lifting it, and 2) it usually works when bike is in gear.

the battery? again, if battery would be bad, it wouldnt crank. also, it JUST started a day ago and i have a charger hooked up to it. my current battery is measuring 11.48 or something (but it keeps dropping for some reason)

recommend a battery anyway.
do you think it might be the ECM?

anymore suggestions?

If you have the battery off the bike, you may have a bad cell in the battery. If it's on the bike, you may have an electrical short.
