636 throttle lag

when u have the throttle fully open...it bogs it self down at like 5 6 grand....then it will go up to 7 or 8 then jumps to 12 grand and then repeats itself over and over again....so i was wondering on how to fix this problem...

thankz......

have you got any modifications on the bike? exhaust, power commander? if you do, that MAY be the source of your problem. sounds like a lean condition at certain RPM.

How many miles?

I suggest taking the PC out of the loop and go from there.

When you replaced the exhaust vlv are you sure the sensor is functioning correctly?

I had problems with mine not throttleing up fast enouf, very show on take off. my friend loosen my safety cable up that cuts the throttle off when u let go to the throttle. That really help my bike i dont know if it was in a bind or what but it really help me. i have a ZX6RR 03. Good luck sir with fixing it

But it almost sounds like its miss fireing at that RPM, like i could be a CPU problem.

and should be easy to diagnose by having a Kawi shop test it.

It sounds like when they installed the new exhaust valve they didnt adjust it to the thottle. I know one on the GSXR if you dont just it right, when you open her up and the valve doent open @ the same it bogs because the exhaust has no where to go.

You gut the valve and then by-pass it on the computer.

my Z28 had almost the same problem laggy around at 4,000 rpm, gas MPG is very bad i mean like 13 MPG. Me and a friend change the spark plugs out. #8 had so much carbon on it it wasnt even fireing at all. its the last one on the passenger side the hardest one to do with out a lift or tilling the engine back.but after that i went to 22 MPG. i agree with the takeing it by a kawasaki shop. the testing machine make take some $$ but it will good just to know.
