954 rr code 8 TP sensor

I have a 2003 954 rr that has a code #8 for the tp sensor adjust. Also when i turn the key on the bike I can hear the throttle bodies moving (motor ) constantly) I went through the checks on the service manaul. Being that I have voltage to the sensor and there is no open grounds. The next step is to check the ecm but I do not have a test harness. That is described in the manual to check the wires to the ecm from the harness and check the voltage out of the ecm. Has anyone ran across this issue in the past? Should I get a new ecm or a tp sensor?
THanx
Rick

Are you think of testing with a new or used ECM?

It might be worth a shot. Those things don't usually foul up do they? Would it be cheaper to test with a new tp sensor?

no Throttle Position sensor listed on their site on this page. Have you called a Honda dealer to check for availability?

Do you know the correct voltage for the tp @ correct rpms? That's the only way I know to test it with out replacing it.
