These two outstanding gentlmen have spoken nothing less than the truth. If at this point you even consider any other tire than the pilot power the engine in your TLR will explode.

There it is. So if the engine explosion doesn't do the trick this guy will.

All you will get from anyone on this forum is loud cries of Pilot Powers... You want options... They better be two things... Michelin... and Pilot Powers...

From what I gather Pilot Powers are good tires... Unfortunately they don't make them for my bike...

I too have a big, heavy bike. And I ride some of the steepest, curviest roads in the US. The Metzeler Sportec's handle nicely, but wear out quickly. And even though this is a semi-arid area, I always seem to get caught in the rain where the Sportec's are terrible.

I now use Avon's Sport-touring AV45 and AV46 tires. They outhandle the Sportec's and have unbelievable grip in the wet. My front tire always wears out before the rear and it's showing some wear, but the rear almost looks brand new. And I heard they just improved the Avon's.

The Metzeler Sportec M3's look good, but if it aint broke, don't fix it. PP's kick ass!
