engine brake in?

hey guys.. i am buying a new 06 CBR600RR this wednesday and was wandering what the best brake in prosess is? what do you do? just opinions i guess

My advice is mostly follow manufacturers guidelines...don't run at a continuous RPM and it wont hurt to run it up to the redline a few times...but dont hang in the upper RPMs. Get up and get back down.

Other than long terms at constant RPMs...Just ride it from 0 to 600 miles, the way you will at 6000..

Of course you can't just beat the hell out of it right from the crate...chances are you won't own it when engine problems arise.

there, it's been said.

in my case, change the oil in 50 miles then put it on the race track. it is the lack of maintenance that causes problems.

Rarely is the question stupid, but sometimes the answer is you need to run everything you read online through your own personal BS meter to determine if it makes sense to you.
