rear sets

all right quick question. On a k5 gsxr600 I'm about to get the stock rear set off.
I have looked at it for a sec. I'm needing to know what I need to do to disassemble the shift pedal and the brake pedal from the bike. the brackets are self explanatory. I looked at the shift for a moment. It appears that I could just remove the clamp from the front of the shaft and just leave the shaft attached. But is there another way to remove the shaft from the pedal it self??

Also on the brake side I saw that there was just a pin holding the bolt in that attaches to the pedal. I just wanted someone who has done this to tell me what they have done to double check my self up front before I get started.

I'm going to have the rear sets and the passenger pegs and brackets powdercoated to match the frame.

thanks.
