I can't see oil there...is it leaking from the case there? Did the slide wear through the metal?

If that's the problem you can fix that yourself. Get a service manual if you dont already have one. You'll need the part and a gasket at the very least....and maybe some bolts if you scraped some of them down.

eBay would be the first place I look. If nothing there then try a salvage yard or ronayers.com.

Have you tried re-torqueing the bolts?

Man... you need a new stator cover and gasket!

It sucks... did a ebay search... HERE

Here's a stocky one for $130

And For $290 you can get a custom one.

Just make sure you get from ebay or the dealer...the new gasket. Its usually a ordered item. You might get by with a some silicone but I wouldn't chance it.

Which reminds me... get some gray colored high temp silicone. You will most likely need to put some on the gasket to keep it from leaking oil.

Further, when you go to pull the cover it may seem to stick on... no worries... that is the magnets from the stator (MC version of a alternator) but this should be a problem sense it appears to be alum and not magnesium like some others.

ah

same **** that happened to my bike.

You will need a new water pump. talk to the techs at the dealer.. if your lucky they will warrenty every thing like they did for me.
it looks like it is comming from the back of the water pump? on the pump shaft yes?

If u look closely looks like it's coming out of the peep hole on the water pump, it seems it's faulty in alot of the 07 gsxr's.. just when you take it in.. and they will work on it under warrenty have them order a water pump, before they do any thing else.. trust me :p

that still don't chage the fact that he has a rashed cover!

And remember... on most of these bikes... your oil pump and water pump are driven off the same input shaft.
