Ordered a used shock off of ebay with stock linkage, put the stock linkage on to raise the rear up to stock height (it had been lowered). * other shock is going to be sent off to be revalved or resprung.
Took the forks off and changed the fluid, and put some Race Tech springs in (1.0 springs, a lot stiffer than stock)
Got rid of the 1-into-2 rubber brake line and replaced with 2 stainless Galfer lines. EBC HH pads too. Valvoline Synthetic dot 4 brake fluid.
New Pilot Powers
Still to do: Install shogun frame sliders and (yikes cover your eyes bird) drill holes in the side plastics for them. Oil change, some bolt drilling and safety wiring, changing out the coolant (yet to be determined with what), and a couple of other various things. I think that covers everything for now
I recommend Vortex sliders. I had the Shogun and the Vortex. The Shogun's got all warped in a wreck and the Vortex just did their job and grinded down until the bike stopped sliding. The Shogun's held up, but were a bitch to get the socket in to take it off the bike.
