Gsxr Headlight problems

I have an 02 gsxr 750. I am having a problem with the headlight. The low beam works fine, but when i switch to high beam, it doesn't come on. The bulb is fine. I took the switch assembly apart on the handlebar and cleaned the contacts, still not working , do you know what i need to do now?. Thanks

Sure you checked the bulb well? Sounds like the bulb is bad

I had the exact same problem w/ my 02 Gixxer 750, fixed it when I Highsided and totaled the bike... But u shoud check the bundle of cables on the right side where the front turnsignal is, take the fairing off, and there should be the bundles with the quick connectors, the really thick one I think deals with the lights and the dash the connection there could be a problem with the circuit there, check that out before trying anything else.
PS. dont high-side like I did.
Cant get it down!!! is offline

Well, its gotta be either bulb or relay so if you changed the bulb check the relay.

Ok, did some checking, from what you said it sounds like your switch is bad - you can buy it from the above website for $79 and you dont need the front wiring harness.

Well- I like the new stock stubby cans over the high-mounts, but the twin beats the hell out of one huge high-mount.

Thats too bad. Best looking high mounts I've ever seen right there. I'm normally not a fan.

Yeah nice cans, i wish all girls had a pair like that ,lol. Dont like the stubbies, the exhaust needs to be seen, and shiny. I love that the new gsxr 1k has gone back to twin pipes
