Help me Pick new Fairings

Ok....so I had a sour deal on ebay buying a complete set of new fairings for my 03 R1. About 1/2 of the order came correct which was the front Nose Cone, and the front wheel fender.
The Tail section, and the lowers were for a 00 R6, and the mids didn't even show up. Basically 1/2 of my order got shipped to someone else, and someone else got my parts. It took over a month a resolve the issue and the seller NEVER responded to hardly any of my emails. I just got refunded all the money from PayPal tonight.

It's riding season and I need to get fairings ASAP. I don't want to go another month of from Ebay..... So which fairings should I go with.

1. SharkSkinz appear to be the best through all my research, but they are the most expensive

2. Cheeta appears to not have the BEST quality and sometimes take some fabrication to fit perfectly...but a few hunderd $ cheaper.

3. AirTech is the cheapest.

Which one?

I will have a little more than 1/2 of it next week, but I am completely paying off the bike this weekend. I had to take out a personal loan to buy the bike from the insurance company. I just want the bike payment to completely go away.

I just checked them out and it looks like they have some good deals, but they don't have any fairings for the R1.

I've heard some bad things on the Hot Bodies so I basically took them out of the picture. I really don't see any street kits from them anyway.

Why not just do it right the first time and get the sharkskinz...then you dont have to worry about fabrication/modification to make them fit and the quality is there too.

And steer clear of hotbodies...I've never heard one good thing about them.

I am still leaning towards the Sharkskinz, and I will be staying away from Hotbodies.

You can't go wrong with Sharkskins. Every review I've read has been very positive. Attack Performance makes really good skins and they have them for the R1 but I think it's only race, not street.

I bought Pit Eck for my 06 Gix 600 race bike and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Wish I would have bought sharkskinz

I have Cheetah on my bike and yes you will have to do some modifying to make them fit. I am not totally satisfied but they are cheaper than brand new OEM parts.

Get racing fairings, and modify them for the street, I bought my fiberglass fairings for $300, painted, granted they're used, and they were from a buddy of mine, but see what u can get!!! Dont buy new if u dont have to, get the race fairings, cut out holes for HID healight buy an undertail, with built in LED's and let ur imagination run, whicever color-scheme u want vinyl stickers, whatever works man. what ever u decide, , hope to see photos of u riding soon bro!!!
