2006 r1 pinging

I have an 06 r1 that pings on take off when at operating temp.I thought maybe someone here would know why before I took it to the dealer again.

What kind of ping? Like pre-detanation in the motor? Are you sure its not the exhaust?

I'm sorry,Yea it's a pre detonation ping.Sounds like a car that's extremely overheating.Bike hits 221 before fan comes on.

What octane fuel are you running? Better run a higher octane.

Yeah, shouldnt run anything less than 91 in it, I run 93 in everything.
Little off topic but Maby its how hard/fast i ride but my bike rarely goes below 195 usually right around 205 and at stop lights letting it idle it will rise up to 230 after just 1 min or less

Yeah it sounds like the gas is pre-ignitiing. By getting a high octane you delay the ignition of the gas in the cylinder longer therefor the gas can cool the motor more.
