Year and milage? Tires, milage condition and pressures, front and rear? Weave or wobble (I'm assuming weave as you are still able to type) and what were the exact circumstances (straight line, hard setdown after a wheelie, exiting a bumpy turn, hands off the bars, ect).

Weave : the handlbars wave back and forth slighly at about 0-4 cycles/second with small to medium intensity.

Wobble : handlbars wobble VIOLENTLY back and forth with great intensity and fast (5-10 cycles/per second); enough to tear the controls from your grasp and cause loss of control.

My first guess would be a crap or improperly inflated tire...

no it was a wobble, i have pirelli's in the front, one of the best u can buy, and it was inflated to the right psi, i was straight bar, on the highway, didnt hit a bump or nothing, i was huggin the tank also. then all of the sudden i was in the other lane with a wobble, i let off the clutch and got it corrected.

What kind of pavement? So you were accelerating when this started?

Do you do alot of wheelies? Have you landed the front end hard?

First 2 guesses...

Are either of your fork seals leaking?

Check the torque setting on your front steering head. I bet its loose!
