06 R6 Slipper Clutch Mod

Anyone here do the slipper clutch mod where you remove one spring from it to get more slip? http://www.r6-forum.com/forums/showt...5&page=1&pp=10

Im getting my first service on my bike in 2 weeks and want them to adjust out all but about 1 mm of throttle slack (slop) and do the slipper clutch mod since I need it to slip more.

Were being a bit harsh... but you should learn how to match the rpm. It will only make you a better rider.

BS that you need it to slip more. I downshift from 2nd to 1st going between 60-70 and I get ZERO wheel hop. You can see it here in this video (turn 3).

I don't think it has anything to do with his skills... if Dlit's can down shift to 1st at 60+ and not lock up... so should S4L's... not sure how he could **** it up... down shift at a given speed and let out the cluch... it either slips or doesn't....

Trust me im doing it right, you do it in motocross (dont say oh well SB's are different) only happens in first gear, its my bike, it also helps that you are NOT running the stock ****ty tires but still mine shouldnt do it as much as it is.

if you slip the clutch or if you drop the clutch it is going to be 2 different things...

slip the clutch and it will not hop if you drop the clutch sometimes it will...just saying....

Clutch in blip throttle smoothly release clutch, perfect matched rev, rear tire hops. I tell you its the bike, i accelerate in first gear to 80mph and just roll of the throttle the rear tire hopsall the way down to 60 then pushes u foreward like on on the brakes with just engine breaking.

No, the brakes are not dragging.

Im not some freakin moron like everyone tries to make it out to be (except the ppl it took to get this rep) if i was only 90% sure of something i would consider it as an option. I know my bike has something wrong considering friends 06 gsxr 600 dosent have this issue and there no where near as track capable as an r6, thats y i got one.

yeah I guess your right... I don't have a slipper so I have no experience with them... but I figured they eliminated wheel hop in every situation... dumping or slipping the clutch...

Rather than voiding your warranty, wouldn't it be a better idea to take it in? If there is a problem, then they should be able to fix it... Then you probably wouldn't have to **** with it at all.

Have you tried adjusting the clutch? If so, and it's still screwing up, then I'd take it to the dealer if I were you. Sounds like something might truly be wrong with it.
