Lowering

I am 5'2' and I just bought my first bike-- a ninja 250... I want to lower it, but I am not sure what or where to buy. My local bike shop goes through parts unlimited and they are backordered for at least a month... So I am looking for a good online site to go through.

Also what is the difference between a dogbone and a lowering link?

and if you go into the 'ladies section' there is a post about this going rite now...you could probably get some advice from reading it.

There are lowering links for many bikes but kickstands for fewer. Make sure you have a way to shorten your stand or your bike will sit until you get it figured out .

I have actually done alot of research and I found out that the bike can be lowered two inches before anything has to be done with the kickstand!!! Ironically the standerd lowering link that they have for ninja 250s are only 2 inches, so it works... .

Yes! It deffinatly is. I just hate the people that blah blah blah all the time and they THINK they know about the stuff they are talking about...and all you know they are doing is lying ..but when you actually find out TRUE new things..it's like ..I ended up finding out about 5 things that I never knew last nite while at the bar with my friends. Intresting the places you can go with friends (and even just talking to people) and find stuff out

That truely depends on your personal comfort level. Lowering the bike WILL change the lean of the bike on the kickstand! THIS IS FACT!

Personally I don't like it when bikes sit nearly straight up n down. My 9R did that and got blown over in a thunderstorm one night... If it leaned over more like a stock GSXR maybe it wouldn't have did the $3300 worth of insurance damage to the bike!!

So is there anyway to find out how much it straightens the bike?? In all of my searches, I never came across that one... if it is a two inch lowering link??

What is like ok but going any futher is not ok?

and the only way to keep it at the same angle as stock does is to modify the kickstand right??

So I think I am finally gonna ride to my local dealer today and order it and then wait the hundred weeks that they said I'd have to wait b/c its backordered... grrr... silly "parts unlimited" company...
