Sprocket Changing ZX7R

I would like to know if i have to remove my clutch release assembly to get to the front sprocketon my 93 zx7r? The clutch assembly cover is bolted to the cover i need to remove to expose the front sprocket. I decided to go down a tooth on the front to get more low end torque. thanks for any and all help.

No you don't have to do anything with the clutch assembly to swap out the front sprocket.

The clutch is on the exhaust or right side of the bike..

The front sprocket is on the left or kick stand side of the bike..

Remove the four 10mm (if I recall correctly) bolts from the sprocket cover... don't F up the speedo pickup. Then go at changing the sprocket.

You will need a impact wrench to get it off.

But how old is the setup? A new front sprocket on a old chain isn't always good!
