warning light question

hi guys. I need some help with my bike. It's a 2005 ninja 636 I bought used without a book for it. Last night, a red light came on with FI. Is this a fuel injuctor light or is it like a check engine light on a car. Any info would be helpful. Thanx

Fuel Injection. Does the bike have a power commander? Check the Throttle sensor and Injectors. Also make sure you let the tach run to the top and the bottom before firing up the bike. Sometimes this won't give sufficient time for the lights to reset and the FI light will stay on. It's like starting a car to quickly. Or anything electrical for that matter.

The bike is still stock, 3 kids keep me from spending to much on it. I usually let the tack run before starting but might have rushed it last night. Thank again for the info.
