PLEASE HELP, bike wont run

Ok to start things off its an 06 Ninja 250, until today it ran flawless. I go out today and start it up and everything seems fine, I let her warm up and proceed to put it in first gear. THe moment I begin to even slightly let off the clutch the rpms drop straight to zero and the engine dies. First thought, I stalled somehoe, so I try again. THe exact same thing happens, doesn't matter how much gas I give it the moment I slightly let go of the clutch it completely dies. What could be the cause of this?! It was just running fine yesterday.

lol omg wow, thank you so much, that actually did it, what is there a sensor or something that detects when the kickstand is down?

Ah... Summer time... Getting your bike out feels like Christmas... and not pulling up your sidestand becomes the common diagnosis for stalling bikes...

We can all be glad it wasn't the tip-over sensor.

Kick stand was my guess too....

But one question...why are you trying to ride away with it down anyway? It should stall the moment you put it into gear if the stand is down.

Or did you just not have it up the whole way? I'd verify that the bolts holding the kickstand are tight too.

Kickstand... too funny. We've all been there and tried to leave with it down and have it die. But... most understand WHAT just made them look like a idiot. Sorry shift that you didn't know why! Funny now though now I'm sure!
