2007 GSXR750 Steering Damper

I was changing out my headlight bulb and discovered that the factory steering damper did not seem to be installed securely. When I hold the body of the unit and wiggle, it moves as if the mounting screw is not fastened all the way. Now is this the norm? Please advise.
Thanks

Its stock, shaft style = it sucks. The bike is trying to rid itself of the POS. Replace with Scotts!

I have no idea what to tell you over the internet is normal. Go feel somebody elses or at the dealer.
