I call myself riding off a curb and it damaged the bottom of my bike. Now my left and right fairings at the bottom of the bike are not connected. Was there suppose to be some bar or something at the bottom of my fairings to keep them together? If there was, it's gone now. What's that part called? I hope I don't have to buy new fairings again. I went to the dealer and he told me that I had to buy fairings for both sides of my bike! It just doesn't make sense to buy entire new fairings if there is a part out there that will work. He may just want money. I'll never role off a curb again.

I don't think so...I think that they clip together. Depending on how bad it is,you can use zippy ties and drill small hole in the bottom and "stitch" it together. If you use colored ties and keep the holes neat and straight it won't look too bad. Besides,it's on the bottom, right?

And think about downgrading if you're on your 3rd set of fairings and running off of curbs.

LOL, I knew someone was going to take a shot at me.. that's why I love this place. 1st set of fairings kid jumped into the middle of the street and I had to lay it down-(not my fault). 2nd set, hit a slick spot in a parking lot-kind of my fault since I knew it was wet outside. For this occassions, my fairings are fine it's just that dimwad trying to make money off of me when I just need a small piece to fix it. -dumb on my part for coming off the curb in my front yard.Should had just parked it on the street.
I'm in Iraq right now so I'll hv to get my friend to take pics and then I'll submit it.

zip ties should definately do the trick. Thanks fellas.

that spot where your fairings meet, is held together by three plastic pins and a metal plate. you could use zip ties to fix it, but a nut n bolt will work too. the missing plate is pretty simple, and it wouldn't be too hard to make one. if your fairings aren't too messed up you can see how one fairing overlaps the other at the center hole. you can throw a bolt in there or a zip tie.
