I really need help

I own a 02 ZX6r And i have a very large problem. 1st I changed the front break lines and now i cant get the fluid out of my master cylinder into the lines. Also when i hit the starter button my fuel pump ticks but my starter will not turn over. The fuel pump works and so does the starter, I thought my silonoid went out and bought a used one off of ebay, but it still does the samething. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You mean you pump the brake lever and no fluid comes out? If there is fluid in the brake reservoir, did you mix regular brake fluid and silicone brake fluid? That no-no is supposed to make a gel that gums things up.

As for the starter, you say it won't turn over, but it works? Check these first:
Engine stop switch.
Main fuse on starter relay.
Low battery.
Trans not in neutral.
Check all the safety switches (clutch interlock, side stand, etc.).
Engine stop switch defective.
Starter button defective.
Starter relay could still be faulty.
Wiring open or short.
Bad starter motor.
You will need a $10 digital voltmeter from Sears, and a shop manual to check the above switches and wiring.

I put on steel lines on the R6 but because it has to do with such an important item ( that of the brakes and my stopping or not stopping ) I let the dealer do it, that way if something happened, I could go to them!

I know that I had to use special brake fluid in mine, not standard fluid used in like your regular car. I know a friend who had a Suzuki who had to put special fluid we had to drive around town to find.

That does sound like something they could convince gixxer riders to buy...

Along with a couple powerbands... you can always use a couple of the newest and best powerbands to make your gixxer faster.

I've explained the brake problem before, but you havent tried it I bet. pump the brakes up, and open the bleeder at the MASTER CYLINDER, or crack the banjo bolt loose up there, you have air in the master cylinder, and until you get THAT bled, nothing will happen.

As for your starter isse, does the starter even spin? if so, does it spin but not turn the motor over, or does the motor turn but not start?

I don't recall what the DOT fluid for the brakes were on the guys Gixxer, I think it was like 3.5. But I know with OIL on the bikes, you can't mix or go backwards. Like I used to use partially synthetic and now I do full synthetic Motul Race oil, I'd have to strip the engine, clean and replace all seals, to go back to semi-synthetic.

I don't know if brake fluid works the same though.

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as DOT 3.5 brake fluid. Dot 3, 4, 5, 5.1 maybe... no 3.5

When you changed the front brake lines, did you reuse the original banjo bolts and new crush washers? You would not be the first guy to reassemble the system with the wrong banjo bolts, or to put the washers in the wrong order, blocking the holes so the fluid has no where to go......

Always check the simple/silly stuff first.............
