resetting carbs 87 EX250

anyone know what the float height is supposed to be for an 87 'EX250? the one with the split seat, not the banana seat. (yes such a 250 DOES in fact exist, I'm buying one) its got the stock well, everything. all I gotta do to get it running is get it to deliver the right amount of gas to the motor. someone want to tell me what the settings are?

I don't know the exact measurement, but I've read that the bottom of the float should be exactly parallel to the gasket surface of the carb, when the tang on the float just touches the inlet needle. Don't measure with the float resting on the needle. Hold the float so the tang just touches the needle, with the carb upside down. Adjust the tang gently so it's perfect.
