Broken Timing chain on Ninja250 W/7400 miles*pics*

Hi everyone, I bought this bike hardly used and have done all the Maintenance myself to factory specs. I did the valves at 6 thousand and set them at the lose end of the factory specs. And as my manual said it made my vavle train a little louder. I finished late at night so I rode around my naighborhood and everything was fine. The next morning I woke up for work. I get halfway there and notice there is alot of smoke from oil burning. I look down and oil is pour out of this hole in the side of the cylinder head. In the first pic you can see I have tapped the hole and placed a bolt with orange sealant on it. Its near the top and you can see orange thread sealant.

fast forward 1400 miles and you have this........

I was pulling out of a gas station in front of my friends full bolt on LS1 trans am and I gave it full throttle, sang it upto about 10k and it made a nasty crunch and that was all she wrote. The motor spins freely, But I'm worried my valves got smashed by the pistons. I also cannot seem to remove the timing chain, nor can I get the clutch cover off. I believe the rest of the timing chain is lodged near the clutch. I don't have a manual and everyone I've found online I have to pay for. I have drained my oil and its clean and clear, as my oil filter is clean also. I have all the bolts removed from the clutch cover and it seems very stubborn. I don't want to try to hard and break somthing. Can anyone here help me as to what may have happend? and would it be best to buy a new motor? I've seen them in the 100-250 range on ebay. If any of you have any questions I have failed to answer then just ask and I'll respond ASAP, Thank you all for your help

have u checked out the forums at ninja250.org? the ppl there will know a LOT more about ninja 250 engines than we do.

a new engine usually runs people closer to $500, last I checked.
