Angry Is my bike blownup or what?

I just bought an F2 1994 off ebay, the guy said it runs great...just had it in the shop everything is great. He said he drove the bike back and forth to work but just to sell because he didn't have time to ride it anymore. The Problem...... You can start the thing and it sounds like your at a corn grinding mill...PPL said that may be the CCT when you put it in gear and take off anything over 4rev'z it starts sputtering change gears...same thing all the way up. If you walk to the rear stick your finger in the pipe it comes out very...very...very wet and black... the oil looks brand new but smells like a hint of gas... and yes it smokes. None of these signs were there when i went and looked at the bike. it was sputtering a little but I thought mabey just clean the carbs.

i dont know about where you live, but here in California you can actually make him take the bike back under the No Lemon law if you have not had it for too long. Cuz right now it sounds like a lemon. And have you contacted the seller?

Sounds like stuck float needle(s). Start with draining the gas tank and flushing out the crud, put in fresh gas and give it a try, but a good carb cleaning is prolly in order.

You didn't mention milage or condition.............these things are helpful. Diagnosing ills on a bike on the internet is a little like phone sex......takes longer and is less satisfying.........

i would do a complete test on it. engine compression is easy to do if you have the gauge. while your at it, check the plug tip for color or contaminants.

depending on the miles, clutch plates may need replaced. check chain/sprocket for wear (rear adjustment max'd out?)

also look for leaky fork seals and steering head bearing looseness.

don't forget to kick the rear tire.

Did you check to see if the engine was already warm when before he started it?

you have to remove both side fairings for the tail, there will be one bolt on each side that you have to remove. it should be a fairly straightforward thing. although I fail to understand why it doesnt simply have a keyed lock like the kawasakis have.
