kick stand saftey switch

what is the best way to disable this switch. 06 gsxr. I have my track plastics on and got geared up to go for a quick ride. (i live by vancouver lake,) and put it in gear and since my kickstand is removed it acts as if it was down.

so whats the best way to disable???

I think you could just duct tape the switch, couldnt you? or jump the wire so its connecting/not connecting, I dont know really. but thats how I THINK you deal with it.

Yeah just unhook it and solder the wires together or use a butt connector.

duct taping switch is scary. Imagine it comming off mid corner with engine dying

I got the answer from a friend..


Kickstand switch. Should be a green two wire connector. Follow back from kickstand wire. Unplug. Jump the two wires together. Switch removed. Have fun on track not worrying about any of the affore mentioned chit-chat.

I temporarily put some ceiling wire on mine to hold it shut....but I'd worry about that coming off on the track unexpectedly as well. Might not pass Tech either.

Sometimes you can get buy tech by just ziptieing the kickstand up.

you can not fit the kickstand and race plastics on. I just competed the circut..
