Aftermarket regulator & rectifiers???

What would be some good Aftermarket regulator/rectifiers? I'm thinking mine has gone bad. I'm not dead sure it's the problem but I'll be having a friend check it sometime this week or the next once I get the carbs hooked back up. He's got a Mechanical Engineering degree and knows how to use multi-meters and read Schimatics. If it is the problem I'll replace it.

But how much of a difference will a aftermarket R/R make? And what companies to use. I'm looking for a decent one but would probably be happy with OEM if the price is decent(being Honda I doubt it)

The Bike is a 96 CBR600 F3. And has new needles & springs(No new jets) that are set up for a stock air filter and Vance&Hines full exhaust that I'll be getting in a few weeks. Not sure if that makes a difference but figured I'd add it.

neither is cheap new. Advantages of OEM over Aftermarket not sure there is any if at all. GM or OTB etc may know more.

I have had good and bad results with aftermarket reg recs and stators. If you're not planning on keeping the bike then go after market. Parts unlimited sells Ricks components at a pretty good price. I have just never seen em last. The best is to replace with oem stuff and let yourself sleep at night knowing that you bike works and or you aren't passing on a problem...

Gis a shout if you need guidence on how to check each component..
