What newer parts will fit my 98 ZX9R?????

I want to do some upgrades but I don't want to spend a lot of Jack on big name parts. To date ( I just got started ) I have bought a rear rotor from a ZX6R 06 I think and it fit fine, I've been looking at front rotors off a ZX6R that look the same ( Bolt pattern ) But due to lak of responce from the seller I have no way of finding out if they will fit. Soooooooo my question is, is their any kind of chart, data out their showing what parts can be changed from bike to bike. I know it's asking a lot but I thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks

I think if the diameters and bolt patterns are the same, you can use just about any rotor. you can press the steering stem out of the triple clamps, and put it into just about any new triple clamp you want to use the forks off say, a busa, or even if you so desired, a buell. just for example.

Your problem with the rotors is going to be diameter. Most of the newer bikes have pretty big rotors. Of course it still could be done but you'd have to make or find some type of spacer for the calipers.

Measure circumfrence

It doesn't look like the guy selling the rotors wants to help me out. I may call the local Kaw dealer as see what they think about 06 to 98 swaps for rotors.

Thanks Guys.

sometimes you can cross reference the parts in a catalogue-

look in denniskirk at aftermarket rotors, and then see if the part number is the same for your bike and whatever bike you're trying to get the rotors off of.

if that dont make sense, ill look in my catalogue tomorrow and tell you if those rotors fit your bike.

I understand dynce, for now I passed on the rotors till I'm sure what I get will be a direct bolt up. I know of a few motorcycle salvage places here in Indy, I may visit a one of them over this winter and see what they have. Don't get me wrong I don't want to purchase junk I just can't see spending $500 plus on the big name.
