1980 cx500 throttle & oil question

The bike has been sitting for several years. The bike starts and idles good, but when increasing throttle, it shuts down Any ideas
Also, have oil leak from left head.....do the long bolts that hold the lifters also hold the head to the block ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Bruce

Your Carbs are full of crap! Brown sludge like ear wax.
Remove the bowls an dclean them out, unscrew the jets and blow them out also.
If you have let the engine run with the pet cock turned off the carbs will still have fuel left in them when the engine cuts out. If you have not drained the carbs completely it is 95% certain the sludge is the problem.

Cheers Mark.
