overflow drain hose leaking

Hi all, hope you can help with a problem I have with my Honda NTV650 Revere (1990).

A few days ago I changed my air filter (Honda NTV Revere 1990) which is under my fuel tank. When I placed everything back I noticed fuel leaking. After some time I found out that my overflow drain hose is spitting out drops of fuel when the engine is running. Has anyone any idea why, all of a sudden, the overflow drain hose is spitting it out? Can this be because the carbs are full of petrol and "send" the petrol back to the fuel tank where it's guided to the overflow hose?? Or something else?? (the tank is 1/4 full).

I really hope someone can help me
