my bike (Suzuki GSR600, 2007, 5k miles) has a really annoying and loud rattle now for the last 150 miles.
I didn't bothered to check it as It sounded for me as the exhaust or a metal part near it is responsible for it.
A loss of power isn't evident.
The source is definately located at the front upper part of the engine where the headers are joining the head.
I also removed the airbox and started the engine but it seems that the sound is coming from the headers as noted.
I retightened all bolts in the exhaust system, including the bolts which are fixing the headers to the block.
However the sound is still occuring. I don't know if it can be the cam chain tensioner but I assume not due to the low mileage of the bike.
Also there are no fairings which could produce the sound as it is a naked bike. The sound occurs from 3k rpm on.
I recorded the sound and you can download it here
Do you know what could be responsible for this kind of sound?
Thanks in advance for your help!
