transmission clack

I have a 1994 suzuki dr125se enduro. Great bike i must say for putsing around town. I was crusing at about 40 when all of a sudden it started making this horrible clack sound. Much like an electric impact wrench. A kind of whirr.... CLACK... Whi... CLACK... A bunch of times until i pulled in the clutch, then it would stop. It would do this if i did any more than 22ish mph, in ANY gear, 1-6. I pulled both side covers off the motor to see if there was anything loose or astray but everything looked normal. No chucks or shavings and no teeth missing in anything i could see. It kinda chugs also going less than 22mph. The engine revs and sounds perfectly fine and shifts perfect into gear. What would make this noise? Any help is appreciated. I searched a bunch of places but couldnt find anything that mat hed my issue.

Found the problem. A spoke from the rear wheel busted on the inner end and was getting caught between the rear sprocket and chain every time it went around. Easy fix.
