Does a GSXR 600 need a TRE?

I have never tried or asked for one on a 600.
I know top speed is not a factor for them but what about on the bottom like the liter bikes?

I wouldn't see why it couldn't... you should only get benifits!

I was trying to find out if any benefits.
Are the 600's limited in power in first three gears?
It feels that way with no PCIII.
Big lag on the bottom but, I've gotten use to the liter bikes.

If your 600 GSX-R is fuel injected, here's what the 101 Sportbike book says: "(The TRE) tricks the ECU into thinking that the bike is always in fifth gear, so that the first four gears deliver the snappy response they should." To me, that would be more important than a couple more MPH top speed.

Is this going to squash the '05 1K plans?
