oil change interval

every how many miles do you guys change your oil when using semi-synthetic? I just noticed that eversince I switched to blend, the oil still looks good (clean) even after 3,000 miles. by the way, I have a 2001 R1.

I don't know. My manual says every 4,000 miles. I run synthetic and change it a lot sooner than that. It's easy to do and cheap insurance. You can't change it too often, is my theory.

Yeah I would switch to full syn on your next change and do it every 2500 miles...

Remember, oil is cheap. motors aren't!

Not too mention on the sportbikes, you have the high revs and your clutch bathing in the oil as well!

I use semi- and change roughly every 2 grrrr. Going to full syn next change. My baby's getting old and needs all the protection she can get.
