Power commander Q&A

I have a 2001 Eiron racing 929RR I bought a Power Commander from a friend that had a 954. I was under the impression that they were the same but the maps are not close for the same systems.
Q: can i take the map out of the 929 data base and load it into my 954 commander

yes. as long as it plugs up and the bike recognizes it then you should be able to get any map for it. It's my experience though that the pre-selected maps on the power cammander site suck azz. Just spend some money on some dyno time if you wanna REALLY get it right for the most hp.

When I wake up in the morning I piss excellence.

Oh well yeah the custom maps are always better but I think the 929 map off the site should be enough to get him going.

me too............I was just saying that a custom map and some good quality dyno time is the way to go if you want to get everything out of your bike.

thanks guys. I was pretty frustrated Saturday when i waited on hold for 15 min for tech support, and you guys replyed before they answered.

My PC3 usb is installed. the 954 maps are designated as 110. the 929 maps are designated as 104. I opened the map for the 929 Akropovic full exhaust with stock air highlighted the entire table and hit Copy. I then opened the 954 zero map and saved it as a different map then pasted my 929 map into it.

Saved and installed perfectly runs like a champ, but i certainly want to get some dyno work done. I have one other problem effecting my bike and that is elevation. Albuquerque is about 5000 ft above sea level and i'm pretty sure I dyno could help.

the dyno will help but the bike will never run as good at 5000 ft. as in will at 500 ft.

I hear you. I bought the bike in Dallas TX and brought it here. I bet I lost 10%. The Akropovic exhaust and Power Commander barely brought it back to what it was then. I'll admit that I desperately need an air filter though!!!
