03 Gsxr 750

I just got my 03 750 and I LOVE this bike. It seems to be a little less edgy than some of the 600s Ive been on and a little more comfortable. Is the 750 kind of a middle level between like the 600 and the KAT? I mean this thing is FAST and handles amazing but it just seems to have a little less agressive riding position and a little more.... I don't know what the word is.... the only thing I can think of is "Rideable" but that doesn't seem right. Put it this way, the other day I took my bike on about a 4 1/2 hour ride and was perfectly fine. I rode my buddies 06 R6 for about an hour and was ready to get off for a while. Is this all in my mind or is it made to be a little less racey than the 600s?

Yeah thats what I kinda figured. I think its every bit as fast and powerful as the R6 and then some it just seems a little less edgy or something. I like it better than the R6 when it comes to long distance or all day riding I just didn't know it it was geared just LITTLE bit more towards touring and not a straight race bike.

The dominions of your bike are to close to really feel the difference between it and a 600.
The lack of edge that you describe. I'm thinking its the near liter bike torque with out having to rev it to the sky. This also requires more precise throttle control. The 6's, you almost just grab a hand full and go. The 750's and up, You have to be easier to keep smooth control but takes less throttle input.

The 06 R6 has one of the worst comfort levels of any bike I have ever sat on. The seat might as well be a plank of wood for all it's worth. It is a sweet lookin bike, but I wouldn't want to be on it an entire day.

i had an 02 gixxer 1k and an 03 r1. the r1 seemed alot less comfortable than the 1k. it seemed to put too much of my weight on my wrists. the 1k on the other hand felt more evened out. maybe just the diff between suzuki and yamaha...

Frost...the Kat isn't even in the same league as your mighty GSXR. It's not geared toward touring. That is through and through a sportbike. It just fits you well.

glad to hear it. Not that I would mind if the bike was a little more of a tourer than the 600. Although I would have been surprised since I did pretty extensive research on it and no one ever mentioned that. It does fit me like a glove. Ive never been so comfortable on a sport bike before. even my F4I which I thought was a very comfortable bike.

That 750 is the heart of the GSXR race line. You just got lucky and found a bike that fits to a 't'.

Comfort and sport bikes aren't usually in the same sentence.

True. Just to defend my 06 R6, I was riding for 5 hours last week and I felt fine. Straight up riding can be tasking but when you spend a lot of the time hanging off it, it doesn't get to you as much. The seat is kinda hard though. Not as hard as the Honda's seats on the RR's.
