Engine stats for 1995 Suz 1100

I just got my first bike. It is a GSXR 600 with a 95 GSXR 1100 engine.

2 Questions. First I'm sure that the redline on an 1100 is lower than what the 600's tach indicates (13k) so what should it be?

2nd what is the Horsepower of a 95 GSXR 1100?

No wonder I couldn't find my post.

Well if max power is at 10,000 rpm then It would not make much sense to go much higher.

156 Hp? wow! Hows that compare with a new 600 everyone tells me is more than equal with mine?

137 hp at the wheel. not shabby. If i can find some quarter mile times or top speed readings, i guess we'll find out. But they do have a weight advantage, that 1100 motor isnt the lightest. Still i think your bike is awesome. if i were you, i wouldnt tell anyone it is a 1100.

I'm not gonna cept here and when I sell it.

Other than I think it was a 125cc that the riding class had me learn on 15 years ago. All I've been on was my brothers 86 ninja 600 for like 5 minutes out of the parking lot, A friend in 93 let me ride his Yamaha FZR (or something like that) for like an hour, and then a co worker in 2000 let me ride his bike (not sure what it was, like a 600 sportbike) for like 15 minutes.

So from what I felt this bike is scary fast. I feel like I'm gonna have the bike take off out from under me. All I've done is conservativly rolled it up to 8 Grand in first.

Your 1100 engine is a monster in power and weight. They are still pulling low ETs at the strip around here for the budget racers.
