SV650 question - tech specs?

First post. So I will say hello! Old guy fairly new to riding Maybe 5000 miles so far on the street and a bunch more on the dirt. Currently have a Husqvarna TE250 which is a dirt bike with a factory license plate, and a bunch of other dirt bikes... Had a klr250, KE100, DT175, still have crf230, ttr125le, and a xr100 (probably selling that soon).

Anyway wanted to say you seem to have a great site here!

Any idea where to get tech specs on the sv650/1000? Specifically the transmission gearing? The reason for the question is with dirt bikes it makes a lot of difference what the transmission gearing is and I am curious.

Any links to any reviews that might have a torque curve?

Thanks in advance!

Dean

Did not know about sv650.org the info was there - thank you very much!
Can anyone out there confirm the rpms being 4500 at 60mph in top gear? Even a guess from what you remember?

This is a great site!

edit - the more I read about the sv650 the more amazed I am... good thing for my wallet dealers are closed tomorrow.

That sounds about right for stock gearing (from what I remember with my 1st gen).

Another good SV site for you since you're in CA would be http://www.socalsvriders.org which is also a pretty big site.

That sounds about right. I know for sure that it is 5000 rpm for 65 mph.
