Akrapovic Race Can

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could give me some advise? Iíve just fitted an Akrapovic race can to my bike GSXR600 and it sounds awesome but in doing this it seems to have given me a flat spot when pulling away in first gear. I don't seem to be able to pull away smoothly anymore, it starts off with low revs and then as I apply more throttle it suddenly shoots up in revs, making my pull off a bit erratic.
I hope there is a cure for this as Iím seriously thinking of putting the old exhaust back on which looks rubbish and sounds rubbish too!!
Thanks Lee

I would recomend for you to go to a bike shop and get the computer remapped. I found out when placing any kind of aftermarket slip on or full exhaust that 90% of all bikes have some kind of an issue. This would be the cheapest way out.

I am trying to understand why people do mods to their bikes, when they have no clue what they are doing and what is going to happen to their bikes... ANY changes made to intake or exhaust will change the operation of the engine...

Likewise, any changes made to suspension or brakes will affect the handling of the bikes...

I guess the purpose of this rant is...before you fix it...make sure it is broken...

Before you make ANY mod to you bike...you should know what affect it will have on the bike...
