How much would you pay??

Alright guys, I've had my SV 650S for a little over a year and I'm ready to trade up to the GSXR 600. But I need to sell the 650 first, its a 2006 and it has about 2,000 miles on it. I never dropped it and its in great condition. I was thinking about selling it for about $7,500. Is that a good price or could I get more for the down payment for the 600?

uh... how much did you buy it for? they cost that much NEW! I'd say you need to be in the low 6,000

I got a 05 ZZr600 with 618miles for 4900 it sat for 6 months at the dealer cause they wanted 5900... just a heads up

I paid $8,000. but I think that was with all the taxes and all that over crap, I forgot to account for that. So i'm guessing im not going to get more than $6,000. Thing is, the dealer has this 07 GSXR 600 with 400 miles on it and wants $8000.

You'll be lucky if you get $5500 for the bike if you seel it private party. Trade in you will get far less. You cant expect to recover the cost of freight and prep. Dont forget to add sales tax to that GiXXER for the total OTD price.

and you wanted $7500? I saw an '06 Ninja 650 go for $5500 on another forum. This bike was mint, and the guy was willing to leave the PC3, SM bars, ZG screen on if the buyer wanted. Or he would have put it completely stock again! He actually knew what he was talking about too.

Unfortunately, used bikes (besides the 250s) don't seem to have very good resale compared to new price. Even a dealer here wants to sell me a brand new '06 SV650 starting at $5600.

No offense But depending where you are, what the market will take
