2007 GSX-R750 first ride report

Well, my 16th bike and what a q-ship. I just finished a 275 mile 'canyon ride'.
Just me and an experienced friend on his KTM950S Adventure. The GSX-R:
tight, rock-solid at any speed or acceleration, stable under braking like I've never experienced. This bike is so easy to ride, and so comfortable and well,
engineered to a very high mark. We rode Hwy 49 from Nevada City over the Yuba pass and into Graegle, Quincy, and along the feather river into Marysville,Ca. The sebben fitty gobbled up sweepers that I used to take at 75 mph, only when I glance down...90 and 95 mph. No twitch, no wallow, nuttin' but BIG SMILES as we eased from left to right like carving cheeze. The KTM simply didn't have much left after 90....where did he go? Should I slow down?
Nawww...
GSX-R750: everybody needs a bike like this!

Ahh, my dream bike. Sadly, I'd have to go upside-down selling my SV to get one now. I'm not willing to do that.

Can't go wrong with the 750. Tremendous balance of the big cat (1000) and the middleweight monster (600).

Did you experience any excessive viabration coming from the engine?

Regarding 'viabration', well...nothing unexpected. Having said that, I have to admit to some buzz. My last sportbikes were Honda VFR 750's. Those bikes were as smooth as silk. Really. They purred like kittens and had torque up the wazoo. The Gixxer has a little handlebar buzz, and that's just the nature of the BEAST. I live with it; it's like a gorgeous girlfriend with a wart...

Looking to get an '07 GSXR 600 within a few days. It would be my 2nd bike... I think they are great bikes for sure.
