Yeah, they're loc-tited on there. It's gonna suck. I know because I helped my buddy remove his off his '06.

Ok i got em off. It was a brand new 06. just got it 3 weeks ago. no miles on it. IM trying to decide if it looks better off or on. I like it off. but i dont see a point in having them off unless i go for it and do a fender elimination too. it always takes away from the "oh **** i have a new bike" feeling when you tamper with it. atleast for me. I may put em back on. Do i need to lock tight em again? I dont think they where to begin with. thanks

If you have the solo cowl, and Zook's come with the seat and the cowl, so I think you do, if you don't ride with a passenger often, I would take them bitches off. What's the point of having them on if the solo cowl is going to be on most of the time? And they should've been lok-tited. Suzuki does that to nearly every bolt. Just crank 'em down good if you put them back on.

depending on the type of loctite you may be able to heat it up and loosten the stuff... typically blue loctite... give it a try w/ a torch lighter or something.

Just "PUT OUT" on them they'll come off. They're loctited. But suzuki couldnt seem to loctite the main transmission bolt or engine bolt in the front mine vibrated out.

Loctite is your friend.. use the blue stuff. Just keep it off plastic! It will eat it!

Sometimes when allens are hard to get off.. just use a cresent wrench on end for extra leverage.

Anyone have a diagram of passenger pegs? I told my little brother to take them off while I was doing something, so he did but kept on going and took them apart. I had no idea there was a ball bearing in there and what appears to be a metal plate. Anyone know how to put em back together?

ouch that sucks. there should be a spring in teh footpeg, then the ball bearing sits on top(if you hold it upside down so it dont fall out). sandwiich it between w/ the metal plate. look at the grove it has wore in it to see which way the bearing rides on it. you might have to trial and error it if you dont know which side is which. its really not to bad to put together.
