Dear Squids

Please stop buying Gixxers, the new CBR has an electronic steering damper I hear they make your wheelies extra badass! Keep on keepin' on. Oh and stop hanging outside Mickey D's, sometimes I like to eat fast food.

Screw you, I passed on the gixxer and got the CBR to stay away from squid nation. The squids like the gixxer 1000 anyway because they can have a 600, 750, or 1000 even though that damn weight/size difference changes everything.

Here, they start out in the Kmart lot, ride to the BP lot, Then down to a lot by the park, and back to Kmart.
Start about 4pm, go home about 1am.
Total ride time, about 20 min.
Total talk about bike, look at bike, and show off bike time, about 8 hrs 40 min.

Was meeting up with some friends for a REAL ride and they happen to start pulling in. Asked me why I never stopped and joined 'em. Told them that I bought my bike to ride, not to look at wishing I could ride.
They no longer paid any attention to me...
Darn...

Hey!!! I BS about bikes almost as much as I ride them, but I do ride technically challenging roads. So maybe that saves me.

You son of a bitch Honda lover! I will pay you 100 bucks to go to squid fests and talk about how rad your CBR is. Somebody needs to stop this madness. I swear I passed a group of 20 gixxers today. They all had pretty sweet 190's on their 750/600's. Idiots.

Sucks for you, I am not letting squids know how much more my 600RR rulez over the gixxer 600. It's not really a performance thing for them anyway. It's more of a name brand thing. Gixxer just appeals to them more. The 600rr forum is filled with nazis that rip squids apart anyway.

honestly, i believe a lot of it has to do with the fact that they can say they own a "gixxer"... sounds like a space ship or something i guess.

i member in my MSF course all the ex-ama racer who taught it talked about was how you shouldnt "go out and buy a gixxer 1000" once you complete the course, gixxer this gixxer that.

bah. suzuki blows.

i gotta say, not wearing your jacket around town is much better than riding 100 mph trying beat a semi 100 yards ahread of you onto an onramp just so you can try to get your knee down. (raises hand)

To each his own, however as many squids that ride suzuki's they still rock hard. I've rode them all and until the recent CBR change I have to say, the gixxer always felt the most comfortable. However with the new design change Honda is forcing Yamaha and Suzuki to do a redesign for '08. So i'm interested in seeing what happens there. As competitive as they are, I'm kind of excited to see what happens. Maybe Yamaha will finally give that bug some wings and a turbo booster. Suzuki's might come with a cool decal that adds 15 hp. Who knows. Time to buy a hyosung I guess.

why do you gotta hate on the Gixxer its a nice bike. I rode my friends 06 cbr600rr and then test road my 06 gixxer 600 and i liked the way it felt over the honda, and it was more comfortable to me.

But do you chose to BS while you could be riding? During prime riding weather? EVERY DAY!!??

That's these guys.

Saw one of their bikes for sale.

06 CBRs are a lot different than 07s. Completely new design. Hating on gixxers is standard practice for most bikers. You choose to be in the gixxer squid nation, you just have to learn to deal with the abuse.

Not every day, but I do BS a lot up at the hill with other bikers when I could be out riding the gap.

I put on 4K last year, my first with a bike, and I have about 1K so far this year.
My point was they spend more time parked than riding...
