Strip I will give ya, but a busa dont own the twisties at all. A 600 with a good rider would 'wax' a busa with no problem.

I just got in the Ghostrider movies.

I'll be watchin' 'em tonight...

But yeah. He typically rides a Busa from what I remember, but I think he did some stuff on a Gixxer..... hell he also rode around on a snowmobile.

Not saying the guy hasn't rode a Gixxer, but his trademark is the 400hp Busa ripping wheelies at 170+ by simply twisting the throttle..

I agree, a Busa can get smoked in the tight stuff, but then again, you have to have competent riders on each for a fair comparison. The wheelbase is a tad long for too much of the tight stuff. Kind of like why some ride 600's, they want to zip in and out of corners hard, where as Busa's will suck the eyeballs into the back of your head on the straights... Its all a compromise really.

I just seen some other Suzuki owners doggin on the Busa, my first thought WTF is wrong with these guys, but I opted to ask instead of insult. And if your not into Suzuki's your reply really wasn't worth anything to me. Too often the rider of the Busa gives the bike a bad rep, either they can't ride for crap and over compensate by getting the Bus, or they are all about one thing.. the straight-lines.

I have 2 of the Ghost Rider Videos, and in neither is he on a busa. Then again there are more than one that claim to be Ghost Rider. The ones I seen are in Europe some place on a gixxer and a pocket rocket lol.

True... seems to me even more busas than that are like that though.

Regardless, the majority of all motorcycles are bastardized by d-bags. Oh well.... not my bike, not my money. Just hurts my eyes.

Ghost rider only rode that turbo busa when he was doing high speed wheelie runs and top speed runs. If you notice all the videos where he actually needs to turn and is running from the cops he is on a 1k.

Guys, with the right tires and the right rider, a Busa does just fine in the twisties. Dont knock it till you tried it.

I've only ridden one Busa...it was turbocharged with 235 rwhp and I must admit...it felt better than I expected it to in the mountains. The straight line speed of course with the turbo was scary fast but the handling was better than expected.

It's not really for me but to each their own.

I like my R1 and some of you run your mouth about them so again...to each their own. I also like my R6 but it lacks the grunt that I like.

I think it's funny that you think that's a joke! I guess you'll learn something new today (you're welcome).

Here's one with 685hp: http://www.blacktopriders.com/viewtopic.php?p=8001

Try doing some googling before you laugh.

Back on topic though, I just traded in my '04 R6 on a '05 Hayabusa this week and I LOVE it so far. So much more comfortable, my girlfriend will actually ride with me and the handling far exceeds my expectations for a heavy, long wheel base bike that hasn't been updated in so long. Definitely takes longer to stop though. It's 100% stock and all I'll probably do is fender eliminator/turn signals, exhaust and maybe a brake upgrade. I may start putting some cash away for a turbo upgrade after a while as well, but I may decide I just don't need it. I did my research though, so that's why I know about most of the kits out there. About 250 HP would be just fine, I'm not interested in 400.

I understand there's a lot of posers out there and people slamming them to the ground (to each their own), but that's no reason to hate on the bike.

Yes I ride a Busa and my company caters to them more than any other MC, but I can appreciate almost any ride without the need to knock them. Just curious cuz its this kind of conflict that ends up being linked to on other boards, like ZX14.net etc..

They're ugly, that's why. What's wrong with people expressing their opinion?

I stopped by a shop this past weekend and Lee...the owner of the shop had an 08 on the dyno tuning it. With full exhaust...I think an airbox and tuning he got right at 200 rwhp...it was just shy and put down 114 rwtq.

He likes his Suzuki's and has a pass of 260 mph on an older one and just over 200 mph on the new 08...documented. He's turned a sub 8 second 1/4 mile before. He also road races but not on a Hayabusa.
