06 gsxr 1000 in 07 gsxr 600

I have a liter motor from an 06 gixxer that I'd like to put in 07 600. How complicated is that and has anyone ever done that on newer models? Any input will be appreciated.

Well,I believe that the mounts are in the same location...the wiring harness is similar. You'll need the cpu from a 06 GSXR1000 ofcourse but luckily,I believe that the plugs are the same. Do you have the stock Fi from the 1000,the coils and harnesses, does the 600 have a dual injector/butterfly setup? If you got the motor with a cpu and the stock wiring harnesses/Fi/coils/etc,then there shouldn't be a problem at all.

If you got a bare motor without the Fi and all the electronics....

I have a complete motor with FI, harness, CPU and headers. If you are saying that it should drop right in, I might just go along with that. I am not sure how tricky it would be to mate transmission and the rest of the chit.

Anyway,if you don't have the service manual,I believe there is a copy at repairmanualclub.com. Ummm of both bikes actually. Good luck!
