Price value?

I have a 2000 GSXR 750 with about 7000 miles on it, It also has crhome rims, windscreen, bar ends, resivoir cap, and frame sliders. It has a sknocking noise in the motor, that I have no clue what it is. The bike starts up, but will not run! Clean title, plastic is in perfect condition minus the stickers. Any idea of what I should try to get out of it? Thanks for the help

First off,

Second...if the motor is THAT bad. Part it out on EBay. You will bring in a MUCH MUCH better take than the bike in one piece! I have did it quite a few times on wrecked bikes and SVupOn1 has did it with his. All those add on parts will bring in some cash along with a good clear titled frame!

I had a knocking noise on my SV engine last year which it turns out it was a thrown rod brearing and scored crankshaft. It wasn't worth fixing, so I parted out the bike to pay off the loan. Almost everything sold really fast and I made a lot of money parting it out. I had a lot of after market stuff too which really helped out. I made about $4,000 and had the $2500 loan paid off in about a month. I still can't get rid of my clean title frame, but I think that might sell in the spring time when people start riding again.

To help you decide on prices to sell your parts at...I went to ebay and saw what other people were posting their prices at then I lowered mine way cheaper than everyone elses, and still made sure I was going to make a healthy profit off the parts, and to make sure I would have enough to pay off the bike. I set myself a high price and a low price on the parts so I knew if I sold everything at the low price I'd still get the bike paid off.
with what ever you decide to do.

I would first find out why the bike will start but won't run, and then what's causing the sknocking noise.

If you part it out, I know a guy who needs all the plastics and a headlight for that bike. Where are you located??

Whats up blazer I have a friend that may buy the bike like it is. Do you have any pics of the bike you could post or email? Also have you thought of a price?

Damn, he might be included in the helmet contest and posted once and booked it to help some one out. I don't think he's coming back.

So you don't plan on parting it then?

I couldn't bring my self to pay that much for a super sick bike. Low retail for that bike is only $3500. Better money to be maid by parting it out.
