1200 bandit 1995

Recently bought my 1200 bandit, 1995 model dealer said.2 things battling with 1). First and second gear she "revs" freely, from 3 gear "revs" only to 7100rpm. Bandits come with rev limiters? Where can I look for it to remove it?
2.) The clutch is different from what the manual shows. Its a "5 spring basket".
My problem is I cant get any new springs for it.Plates from the later
models fit ok but springs from gsxr models all too short.
Idea??

i tried to take a glance at the parts microfiche for that bike but theres nothing online for free for that year. So youre saying that it may not be the original clutch basket?

non std clutch

According to the dealer "fishfinders" my bandits clutch doesnt compare to anything std. Basket with 5 springs. Springs about 4 mm longer than gsxr..
I have fitted all new plates with old springs.Clutch seems to grip ok now ,but I think it s a half job done not replacing the springs. Busy shopping around.
Anyone bought a bandit with a std factory fitted rev limiter?
Tks for replies
Will visit banditalley and max-suz

Try dennis kirk

Clutch Parts & Drive Belts

Clutch Discs & Springs

Or...

Barnett Clutches

Or look up some parts for a EBC kit... like this site that I found on a google search.
