jeeps.....even a leftover 05 shouldnt go for less than 11 OTD...right? maybe if it was an 01 or 02 or something. it doesnt depreciate THAT MUCH after only a few months still at the dealer...new year or not.

the cheapest price ive EVER seen on a leftover was a 2002 Zx-12r going OTD for 8100.

this bike is selling for 3-3500 less than what it would sell for normally....THATS ALOT!!!! why is the dealer THAT desperate to move something that sells itself 99.9% of the time....people WILL spend 11-12k for that bike.

but I called a sales rep for my local dealer. (they keep finding 05's) and only discount $300 vs. the 06's
$10,999 OTD for 05's and $11,299 OTD for 06's. He also added that this price may vary as mush as $500 for either year on cash sales.

Maybe this guy came down to the dealership near my house where they are selling the 06 gsxr 600's for 8495$otd. They've got a used 05 gsxr 1000 for 8500$. I believe it has under 1K miles also. I don't think that is the out the door price though.

sweet....but 10k for a year old bike + plus tax is still more like it compared to an 06 for 9300 tax included!...(the last part just doesnt make sense)

lol....yea...but even tho 8500 for a brand new 600 out the door.....the deal on this 1000 sounds more insane.

even at 8500 OTD for a 600....how could it only be 800 bucks more for a 1000??? lol....BS (notice how he never posted back here.....why do people go thru the trouble of registering, posting BS and than never come back?)

When I went with my dad to pick up his 06 Goldwing the manager of the dealership told me he'd sell me a 06 GSXR 1000 any color I wanted for $9500 OTD.
However I had already bought my R1 earlier in the month, and he agreed I got a better deal on the R1.
That goes to show you that some dealerships are willing to deal. For instance this guy sells his bike below costs, then waits on his incentive from the manufacture to come back. That looks good on his report for sold bikes, and he's getting his money back in the long run.
